I have been practicing Reiki since 2017. I became an Usui/Holy Fire® II Reiki Master in 2018 and then an Usui/Holy Fire® III/Karuna Reiki Master in 2019. Yeah, I know, what a mouthful! Being a Reiki Master doesn't mean that you have mastered Reiki. It means that you have allowed Reiki to master you. What does that mean? For me, it means that Reiki is a part of my everyday life. It's how I serve others - human people and animal people. It's how I serve our Mother Gaia. More practically, being a Reiki Master means that I can attune others to Reiki and teach them techniques to use Reiki for self-healing, helping others and in their everyday life.

There are many lineages of Reiki. They are all great. I think I was called to Holy Fire® Reiki because the attunement process is direct from Source rather than the energy being passed through the teacher. Also, it is a lineage that encourages the use of your intuition as well as the standard Usui hand placements. It's an energy that is continually evolving - or rather, it allows access to it's higher vibrational frequencies as we humans evolve.

I completed foundational training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy in 2020. Besides having an excuse to go to Victoria, B.C. every few months, it helped me develop a neutral, centered and grounded mode of conducting a Reiki session, allowing "the work to do the work." BCST is a light touch healing modality that promotes the body’s own natural ability to heal itself by releasing patterns created by physical and emotional trauma. There is no direct manipulation in a BCST session. I practice Reiki that is informed by my BCST training and skill. ​I have studied Quantum Touch® and Biofield Tuning. I became a certified HeartMath® Practitioner in 2021.

I am endlessly curious. I love to study and learn different energy healing modalities. Which leads me to PSYCH-K®! I love PSYCH-K® and believe that, although a very different process than Reiki, the two can be a synergistic combo in empowering the self and the inner healer. I became a PSYCH-K® Preferred Facilitator in June of 2023. 

 

2025 Update: I continue to be guided/drawn to learning new techniques and modalities. In 2025, I became a Certified Emotion Code®, Body Code™ and Belief Code® Practitioner. As one client so aptly put it, Body Code® satisfies the conscious mind! I also became an Intergrated Energy Therapy® Master-Instructor at the beginning of October after completing the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced levels in July.

So what's with the Tree of Light? Well, that name came to me during a meditation. A year later, I was studying the Tree of Life system. Holy Fire + Tree of Life = Tree of Light! It's a beautiful image for the concept of Holy Fire® Reiki lighting up your Tree of Life.
